Music  for 2008

Each year, Art in the Shop strides to provide the finest in local and regional musical artists to grace it's "Shop Stage" for your enjoyment
The same applies to providing tasty and interesting food and beverage offerings
all combined together to make your visit one to remember.
"Jammin' Java" provides rocket fuel for the masses in the form of coffee and Tea.
Various liquids, sweets also on hand.
Larry's Music and Sound continues as our main stage sound provider.
Larry is one of the main supporters of Art in the Shop and provides pro-sound to many
of the area's major events. Located on the square in downtown Hickory.
Each year Art in the Shop presents a raffle to win fabulous art pieces
donated by each year's artists

Look for the raffle booth and purchase an Art in the Shop tee shirt while you're there!
All raffle proceeds go to Full Circle Arts a not for profit artists cooperative.
Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00.

Tickets may be purchased at Full Circle Arts, from Full Circle members and the day of the event.
Raffle will be held around 5 PM, you do not need to be present to win,
but must arrange for pick up of any items won.
Winners will be contacted by phone.

Here you will find information on Art in the Shop past, present and future and metal artist Richard Sinclair.  The Shop, owned by Dick and Barbara Sinclair, is located in Alexander County at the base of Barrett’s Mountain NC in scenic Taylorsville NC.  Now in its ninth year, Art in the Shop is an annual fall gathering of artists, musicians and food for all to enjoy.

One of the region's most versatile entertainers will take the Shop stage from 3 to 5 PM
Mike has been performing on stage since the age of 5 and writing songs since the age of 14. His amiable personality,his versatility, stamina and his excellent guitar and harmonica
playing make him a sought after entertainer  This will prove to be enjoyable performance!

This years special guest's newest album "She Is My Home" is in a long line of great albums released by NC singer/songwriters and Crawford Downs is yet another blossoming flower on an already beautiful NC musical Dogwood  tree...

The Quilting Solution, on board for 2008 in support of the Arts and creatative
endvours offering solutions to quilting needs in the carolinas and beyond.

Joseph Hasty and Dick Hull have been performing as a duo or as members of various musical ensembles in the Inifour for over 12 years. Performing mainly Jazz and Swing, the duo have been integral members of are groups including "Centerpiece Jazz", Musica Nostra", Bob Sinclair & the Victrola Club as well as backing up local Jazz singers Julia rush and Eli Glynn and Contra Dance Fiddler - Bob Kogut
For their "Art In The Shop" performance, they will perform a variety of Jazz an Swing standards as well as spotlighting tunes off of Joseph's recent CD release "Rhythm Changes" - An Eclectic blend of original acoustic Jazz, Swing and Latin rhythms
Stephen Snead   Talented young guitarist having studied Classical, Jazz and many styles of Rock for 10 years will close out the day's musical offerings.
