Each year, Art in the Shop strides to provide the finest in local and regional musical artists to grace it's "Shop Stage" for your enjoyment
The same applies to providing tasty and interesting food and beverage offerings
all combined together to make your visit one to remember.
Larry's Music and Sound continues as our main stage sound provider.
Larry is one of the main supporters of Art in the Shop and provides pro-sound to many
of the area's major events. Located on the square in downtown Hickory.

Here you will find information on Art in the Shop past, present and future and metal artist Richard Sinclair. The Shop, owned by Dick and Barbara Sinclair, is located in Alexander County at the base of Barrett’s Mountain NC in scenic Taylorsville NC. Now in its eleventh year, Art in the Shop is an annual fall gathering of artists, musicians and food for all to enjoy.

"Not Your Ordinary Art Show"
The Quilting Solution, on board for 2010 in support of the Arts and creatative
endvours offering solutions to quilting needs in the carolinas and beyond.
Joseph Hasty has been performing as a solo or as a member
of various musical ensembles in the Unifour for over 12 years. Performing
mainly Jazz and Swing, Joseph has been a integral member of area groups
including "Centerpiece Jazz", Musica Nostra", Bob Sinclair & the Victrola Club
as well as backing up local Jazz singers Julia Rush and Eli Glynn and
Contra Dance Fiddler - Bob Kogut For their "Art In The Shop" performance,
Joseph will perform a variety of Jazz an Swing standards
as well as spotlighting new tunes.

A regional favorite, this well seasoned master player/performer/teacher
