In the early 1990’s artist Raymond Lee Schwarz, moved to the Hickory area and began working in a new medium, copper.
Before his move the Western Carolina he lived in Texas and New Mexico, creating bracelets, Concho belts and earrings, crafted in silver. When arriving in Hickory, he studied under local copper artist Andy Brinkley. He soon began designing his own copper art.
Raymond returned to New Mexico in 1994, living in Santa Fe and continuing his work in copper,
which soon expanded to steel and bronze monument pieces.
His works have been on display at Housangs Gallery in Santa Fe for the past 15 years.
His works have been collected throughout the south and southwest.
Raymond has recently returned to the Hickory area, with new works
that are available for galleries or commission
He is currently exhibiting at Taste Full Beans Coffee House & Gallery
